reflections on faith and justice from an urban minister's perspective
Thanks, Arloa - we had a great time getting to know East Garfield Park and some of the people there, and we'll continue to explore your neighborhood and all the rest of the neighborhoods in Chicago as we go along. We're also looking for volunteer writers, so we can share the perspective of insiders on our journals. If you or anyone you know would be interested in contributing to our Garfield Park journal (or any other neighborhood), let me know.Nathaniel SwiftCommunications Director, YoChicago
The link for my e-mail didn't work - it's nswift @ yochicago.com.Thanks again,Nat
I am coming to Garfield Park for a mission trip this summer and was wondering if there are any near by running trails or sidewalks where I could run?
Sure. I'm training for a marathon and run around the Garfield Park lagoon nearly every day. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm the old woman in a yellow shirt with an ipod on my arm. Stop by and visit us at Breakthrough at 3330 W. Carroll.
Hi! I was pleased to find your blog. I am starting a Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eastgarfield/. I should have it up and running by the end of this week. Please consider joining. I want to create a stronger sense of united community!
