The Buzz on East Garfield Park

Ryan sent me a link to a YoChicago today site that has been running articles about East Garfield Park where I live. It is interesting to read perspectives on the community from outsiders.

Thanks, Arloa - we had a great time getting to know East Garfield Park and some of the people there, and we'll continue to explore your neighborhood and all the rest of the neighborhoods in Chicago as we go along.

We're also looking for volunteer writers, so we can share the perspective of insiders on our journals. If you or anyone you know would be interested in contributing to our Garfield Park journal (or any other neighborhood), let me know.

The link for my e-mail didn't work - it's nswift @ yochicago.com.

Thanks again,

Nat

I am coming to Garfield Park for a mission trip this summer and was wondering if there are any near by running trails or sidewalks where I could run?

Sure. I'm training for a marathon and run around the Garfield Park lagoon nearly every day. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm the old woman in a yellow shirt with an ipod on my arm. Stop by and visit us at Breakthrough at 3330 W. Carroll.
