Heading for Africa

I am leaving for Africa today and won't return until July 3rd. I am traveling with World Vision to Zambia, Zimbabwe, DR Congo, Botswana and Victoria Falls. I'm sure I will have much to blog about when I return but probably won't have computer access for the next couple of weeks.

Hey Arloa,

I don't know when you'll get to read this as it seems that you should have already left and arrived in Africa by now. I pray that the LORD will bless your trip in every possible way. May you be protected from all sorts of harm, both physical and spiritual, and may your sharings be well received.

I'm glad that you have this opportunity to travel and minister abroad, and I believe that the LORD will use your humble offering to bless a vast multitude.

Grace and Peace,

Shlomo

I hope Africa is/ was amazing. I'm jealous and am looking forward to hearing about it.
On another note, when you have time, here's another book selection for you: The Man With the Golden Arm by Nelson Algren. It's a gritty novel about two impoverished, homeless men in Chicago living along Division Street in the 1940's. There's a great display at the Chicago Historical Society by this photographer called Art Shay who photo-documented Algren as he hung out with the poor and addicted, even eating meals with them at PGM .
