Waterfront Community Church is giving it all away!

Here's a video from NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams about Waterfront Community Church in Schaumburg, a church that gives all of it's weekly offerings to help the poor!

Sounds great, but it left a lot of questions unanswered.

How do they pay the rent on the school?
Do they pay any staff, if so how?
How did they purchase band equipment, signs, etc. for church?
How do they pay insurance costs, etc.?
How do they pay for any curriculum, etc.?

If 100% really goes directly to people, then how are we to understand that everything else we saw was paid for. None of this was even referred to so it left the story with more question marks than believable.

I definately believe in the emphasis, but I also feel that we need to market what we are doing honestly so I think that those questions should have been at least referred to because they put the whole story into question from the beginning.

I had the same questions, but what I think they say in the video is that they are giving 100% of what comes in the offering plate. Others may be giving in other ways by EFTs, etc. You are right, they can't be giving it all away and be paying rent.

But it seems as though God is blessing their generosity, and that He provides.

Love your blog, Arloa...I'll be a regular visit, and I'll post you in my friends list on mine.
