Ending Poverty in Chicago with Social Business

Can social business and micro enterprise end poverty in Chicago? 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammed Yunus, thinks so. Here's a link to a Crain's Chicago Business video about it.

Ah! I just emailed Bill and Dave about this very same thing! ('just' = a week or so ago...). I saw Yunus on my favorite TV show, Charlie Rose, about a week ago and the way he described microfinance, it made it seem like it would be very doable in Chicago. Excitement!

Have you heard anything about the New Baptist Covenant meeting in Atlanta this week? It's very much focused on social justice and I just wondered if you had any thoughts.
