My heart is breaking. I know that there are PLENTY of homeless out there but this is different. These are little children. They don't have parents who even care enough to report them missing. They just want to be loved.

I have never really told others that I joined the Marines when I was younger as I was homeless and not really having a place to go or stay. I thought "Hey Three square meals a day and a bed to boot"

just before my last days when joining the Marines my night time place was the Damen bus route where I went to sleep on it at night and rode up and down all night long.

The driver was kind enough to let me sleep there as well he watched out for me as it started at Foster and Damen and went all the way to 35th and Damen.

What I remember the most was how others helped one another and kept watch for your friends you just meet. Yet there were the losses I knew of from the streets people would come and go and many were beaten or jumped for the money they had.

There's more however what I am seeing here pales in comparison as to what I went through yeah I had it hard however where were the parents of these children?

Where was there a support group to pickup the slack or to help them along the way.

Thank you Arloa for showing me again........
